 Sports First Aid

Length: 1 day

This course will lead to the candidate acquiring the Emergency First Aid (EFAW) certificate.  (See EFAW tab) The EFAW syllabus will be slightly altered to reflect the nature of incidents that may be encountered during a sport's event. The 1 day course is a great introduction to first aid in a sports environment. 

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the candidate, there is no final examination. Those who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are awarded a certificate that is valid for three years. 

The certificate entitles the candidate to be a First Aider for 3 years from date of issue. There are no pre-requisites to attend this course.

Cost
The cost of this course for up to 12 candidates is £325 These prices include certification and a manual for each student.

*Under the current guidelines the Health and Safety Executive "strongly recommend” that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every twelve months – before completing full re-qualification training at the three year point.
